We are canceling the walk at Martin Marietta Park tomorrow due to the heat. If you plan to walk some Saturday give Janet a call at 252-671-0636 on Friday to let her know. Keep cool.

This morning we turned the calendar to September so a few reminders are in order...

~ Small groups are starting back up. Contact Pastor Dan if you would like to join a group or better yet to host or lead a group (as we grow we are in need to form several more groups)

~ Youth Soccer Games going on in the side field at BCCC each Saturday beginning at 10 AM.

~ Heather's Walk starts back up on Saturdays beginning on Sept. 5th if the rain holds off. This group of women walk at Martin Marietta Park in New Bern. They meet at the playground at 9 A.M. Questions? See Janet Witherup.

~ BC is starting a Saturday service on Saturday, Sept. 12th at 4 PM. Tell your friends who have to work on Sundays or like to sleep on that day, or...about our new service.

~ W.M.'s Book Club discussion group will meet in the BC kitchen at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, Sept. 30th. The book choice is entitled If Only - by Richard Paul Evans. Brenda Smith will lead the discussion.

August is winding down which means September is right around the corner.

One more thing...
Broad Creek is starting a Saturday Worship Service on Saturdays 4 - 5 PM (yes, it will be the same as the Sunday service). The first one will be held on September 12th. If you would like to volunteer to be a greeter some Saturday see Karen Holton.

This year’s fall kick-off has 5 exciting purposes:

1) Connect with others - welcome new women to BC and deepen existing relationships; 2) Hear inspiring stories - listen to faith testimonies from 3 BC women; 3) Look ahead - discover where our church and women’s ministry have been and hear about our goals & future plans; 4) Enjoy fellowship – share and enjoy delicious snacks with our BC sisters (bring a treat to share); 5) Honor God – we strive to have our hearts and minds focused on Him throughout our events.

And…as with all our events – bringing a daughter, granddaughter or friend is always encouraged.

Also…if you have old pictures from church events or W.M. events email these to the church office ([email protected]) by August 23rd
