Weโ€™re looking for a passionate Hybrid Veteran Career Advisor II to support veterans in overcoming employment barriers and building meaningful, sustainable careers across Craven, Jones, Lenoir, Pamlico, and Wayne counties.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Important: Hybrid does NOT mean remote.
Applicants must live within 40 miles of the job location. Must be available for a in-person interview. ๐Ÿ“
โœจ What Youโ€™ll Do:
โ€ข Connect with veterans through outreach in community & civic spaces ๐Ÿค
โ€ข Provide intensive, tailored career services using the DVOP model ๐ŸŽฏ
โ€ข Support veterans with barriers identified in VPL 05โ€‘24 ๐Ÿ“„
โ€ข Lead jobโ€‘search workshops & peer groups ๐Ÿ’ผ
โ€ข Partner with employers and collaborate with LVER & business services teams ๐Ÿค
โ€ข Train workforce staff on veteran services and Priority of Service ๐Ÿ“˜
โ€ข Engage community partners including shelters, churches, libraries, hospitals, VA clinics & more ๐ŸŒŸ

What an amazing time at the Fall INTO Pamlico event at Pamlico Community College! It was great connecting with our fellow partners, including the Craven-Pamlico Reentry Council, CARTS, Coastal Center for Hope & Healing, and many others.
A special thank you to Mr. Steve Finger for driving the NCWorks Mobile Unitโ€”we were able to assist numerous jobseekers thanks to his support.
