NC Guardian ad Litem District 4

NC Guardian ad Litem District 4 District 4 is comprised of Carteret, Craven, and Pamlico counties. NCGAL Staff recruits, screens, trains and supervises child advocates.

The NC Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Program is a state-wide program that equips community volunteers to serve abused and neglected children by advocating for their best interests in court. Established by statute in 1983, the NC Guardian ad Litem Program (NCGAL) has been serving abused and neglected children for more than 30 years through a team representation model. A GAL child advocate is a trained co

mmunity volunteer who is appointed, along with a GAL attorney advocate, by a district court Judge to investigate and determine the needs of abused and neglected children petitioned into the court system. Could you step in and speak up for a neglected or abused child in court? Could you spare a few hours a week to help build a child's future? We're seeking volunteers! Start the application process today by visiting our website (www.volunteerforgal.org).
