Promise Place New Bern We are a non-profit sexual assault resource center serving Craven, Jones, and Pamlico Counties in North Carolina. We believe in ending child abuse and neglect.

We promote change and healing through community outreach, trauma-informed advocacy, and trauma-focused mental health. OUR MISSION:
To promote the prevention of sexual abuse and violence and personal healing for children and adults affected by sexual abuse and violence through community education, advocacy and trauma-focused care in Craven, Pamlico and Jones Counties. OUR VISION:

We believe early intervention is key to minimizing the effects of trauma and violence. We believe the potential of every child is precious. We believe that we can help strengthen families, prevent child abuse and neglect with information, education and support. We believe in being proactive and effective, serving as a community catalyst, being responsive and working collaboratively. We believe, to be effective, we must actively and rigorously evaluation our programs and use evidenced-based solutions whenever possible. We believe in being excellent stewards of the funds and trust placed with us. We embrace inclusiveness in all aspects of our organization from the people with whom we work to those we collaborate and serve. We believe in providing a safe environment where children and adults will be supported. All clients, staff and volunteers will be treated with honesty, integrity and compassion. We believe in empowerment. We believe EVERYONE is pivotal to ending the cycle of abuse. We believe our vision is attainable.
