A huge THANK YOU to the 100+ volunteers who joined us for United Way of Greater New Bedford’s Day of Caring! Your time and energy made a difference across our community.

From landscaping, painting, harvesting, and weeding to getting an inside look at the incredible work of our local nonprofits, volunteers had the chance to roll up their sleeves - and maybe experience something completely unexpected along the way.

Some tried new food, some hopped on a bike, and some even got to meet a local celebrity- Emily! 🐘

That’s the magic of volunteering: you show up ready to give your time, and you never know what you’ll discover, who you’ll meet, or where the day will take you.

Get ready for an evening of connection, celebration, and giving at United Way of Greater New Bedford’s Give & Gather Autumn Mixer. This special event brings our community together for a fun night while supporting the work that helps individuals and families throughout Greater New Bedford.

🎟️Tickets are now on sale! Join us on Friday, November 6, from 6–9 PM at Box Mill Hall, 150 Tihonet Road, Wareham.

Today, we’re celebrating United Way of Greater New Bedford’s Annual Day of Caring! ❤️💙

More than 100 volunteers are spending the day giving back at nonprofits throughout our community, putting their time, energy, and passion into making a difference where it matters most.

Twenty-five years later, September 11 remains a day that calls us to pause, remember, and reflect on the lives forever changed by one of the darkest moments in our nation’s history.

Today, we honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost and the families, friends, first responders, service members, and communities who carried the weight of that day and its lasting impact. We also remember the extraordinary acts of courage, compassion, and service that emerged in the face of unimaginable loss.

As we mark the 25th anniversary, may we continue to carry their stories forward—not only through remembrance, but through a commitment to the values of unity, compassion, service, and care for one another.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
