THANK YOU to all of our volunteers at Mercy Meals and More today for taking time out of their holiday to prepare and serve a Thanksgiving meal to those in need! All food was donated and prepared by generous people including our own volunteers, board members and other special people in our community. Special thanks to our City Councilors, Ian Abreu, Shane Burgo, Leo Choquette and Councilor-elect James Roy for New Bedford , who took time out of their busy schedules to help today as well as the reigning Miss New Bedford Dolly Mendes. What a community we have! You all made it a happy Thanksgiving for many people.

Mercy Meals and More is very grateful to Bristol County Savings Bank! We were notified by their Charitable Foundation earlier this month that we’d be receiving another grant this year to continue our mission of helping those in need and Genesis Galan delivered the check in person this afternoon. This year, Mercy Meals and More proudly celebrate 15 years of serving our community with warm meals and open hearts. Since our founding on July 12, 2010, our nonprofit breakfast meal site has been a place of nourishment, compassion, and connection - offering a free hot breakfast six days a week to those in need. This milestone is a testament to the generosity of our volunteers, donors, and supporters who have made our mission possible. Together, we continue to share hope, one meal at a time. Thank you for your continued support!

Mercy Meals and More would like to extend our deepest gratitude to St. Francis of Assisi and St. Dominic's churches for organizing food drives to support our soup kitchen. Your generosity and compassion make a real difference in the lives of those we serve. In addition, we would like to recognize Pat and Ann Walsh as incredible human beings who delivered the food to us weekly.

The Mercy Meals and More Comedy Show Fundraiser is a week away on Friday April 4, 2025 at United Fishermans Club sponsored by 1420 WBSM & FUN 107, catered by Cove Surf and Turf and hosted by Funny 4 Funds - Southcoast, MA.
Doors open at 5pm, buffet at 6:30 and show at 8pm. Cash bar, plenty of raffle items, door prize and more, including auction of 2 Cyndi Lauper tickets! Tickets are $45 each and can be purchased at link below.
