Shoe Sensation in Harrison is now taking in sock donations for deployed troops!

Our community is once again coming together to support the brave men and women serving overseas.

We are proud to announce Shoe Sensation’s Socks for Deployed Troops Donation Drive, an initiative aimed at providing essential comfort to American service members stationed abroad. Thanks to the generosity of our community, more than 3,200 pairs of socks were donated last year. This year, we are setting our sights even higher.

How to Participate:
- Donate new, unopened socks
- Or purchase socks in-store and contribute at checkout

Donation Guidelines:
- New socks only (unopened)
- Preferred colors: black, white, or other neutral tones
- Moisture-wicking or athletic socks are especially encouraged

Drop-Off Location:

🚨 Critical Missing Adult Reported in Hamilton County

Authorities are asking the public to be on the lookout for a critical missing adult last seen near Water Street Bridge in Hamilton County.

According to dispatch, the missing individual is a female diagnosed with dementia who was reported missing from the East Galbraith Road area in Sycamore Township. Her description has not yet been released.

Officials say she was last known to be near Water Street Bridge (New Baltimore, OH 45030) around 12:31 p.m. She may be associated with a brown 2011 Toyota RAV4 (license plate: FHR5547)

Law enforcement agencies across the area have been alerted, and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is coordinating the response.

Anyone who sees a vehicle matching that description or has information that could help locate the missing woman is urged to contact local law enforcement immediately by dialing 911.

REMINDER: It is time for our SPRING CLOTHING DONATION DRIVE!! Got clothes and shoes you are looking to get rid of? We will take them!

Donation Drive-Thru Days -- Donation can be dropped off to First Presbyterian Church Harrison (corner of Vine St & Broadway St, near Harrison Elementary) on the following days and times.
Wednesday, March 18th --> 9-11am and 5-7pm
Thursday, March 19th --> 9-11am and 5-7pm
Friday, March 20th --> 2-6pm (bring inside, during set up)

** Do not drop off clothing outside of these drive-thru donation times!

Clothing donations:
- Any clothing for men, women, teens, kids & babies
- Clean & gently-used (no rips or stains)
- Folded and bagged in white kitchen size garbage bags (or similar size so not too heavy)
- We have limited set up time, please help us out by separating your donated items by gender & size and mark the bags accordingly (ie Women's Small, Men's XL)
- We will accept accessories too - like belts, scarves, jewelry
- Clothes can be from any season

Shoe donations:
- Wearable with adequate soles (no junk shoes)
- No holes
- Generally somewhat clean (no mud)
- Any shoes for men, women & kids

If you are interested in volunteering with the event that would be AMAZING! We will be setting it all up on Friday night (3/20) from 2-6pm and the event will be 9am-10:30am on Sat 3/21.

We invite individuals, families, churches and groups to come help with the set up and event! Got a teen? We can sign off on service hours too!
