2nd graders from Lighthouse Elementary visited the library as part of a field trip exploring our community! We read a story, talked about how the library serves the community and ended by designing our own cities.

Our Dog Man book release party will be held November 4th at 5 pm! Elementary school aged kids of all ages are welcome to attend. Attendees will get to take a peek at the newest Dog Man book, play Dog Man themed trivia and make our own comic strips!

October 18-24 is National Friends of Libraries Week. The MacDonald Public Library would like to thank the volunteers of the Friends of MacDonald Public Library for all that they do for us.

They keep programs and events running smoothly by showing up to help. Their regular book sales help fund a variety of programs and materials such as author talks, book club kits, Summer Reading Program prizes and so much more! We could not offer all that we do without their kind and generous support.

If you’d like to join The Friends, please reach out to the library at 586-725-0273, or attend a regular monthly meeting held on the 2nd Monday of every month (excluding summer months) at 7pm.
