Last year our department received a generous donations from the New Baltimore MI Lions Club to purchase 2 e-bikes to patrol our town during special events or when staffing levels allow it. We'll have officers on these bikes in the subs, parks and downtown district when staffing levels allow it. We look forward to a great summer in our city.

I would like to take a moment to recognize Chief Randy Blackburn and the NBPD. The bike patrol has an incredibly warm and inviting, small town feel to it. I could not be more proud of our beautiful city. Take a bow gentlemen. Home run!

A few things to help keep our town safe as we move closer to summer! Keep sidewalks clear and parents, please speak with your kids about the safe operation of bicycles. The riding down the middle of the road doing wheelies is a violation of state law and extremely unsafe.
