OVERVIEW: Isolated thunderstorms are possible on Thursday, and a few may produce large hail and gusty winds up to 60 mph. A second round of thunderstorms is possible Friday night into Saturday, with damaging wind gusts and a tornado or two possible. A greater chance for severe thunderstorms will come on Saturday as a storm system moves across the region. Storms Saturday afternoon and evening will be capable of producing damaging winds, tornadoes, and large hail.

The first round will occur late Friday night through early Saturday morning. Additional thunderstorms are expected Saturday afternoon and will pose the greatest threat of damaging winds and tornadoes.

Confidence is low on the severe threat Friday night. Confidence continues to increase on the potential for severe thunderstorms Saturday afternoon. However, the exact timing and threats remain uncertain.

The timing and coverage of thunderstorms Friday night into Saturday morning will impact the severe potential later in the day. If storms don't develop or end prior to daybreak, the threat for severe thunderstorms will increase. If storms develop and linger on Saturday morning, the threat of severe thunderstorms may decrease.

Please check back for more up-to-date information.
