You’re never alone. 988 is a resource especially in times of the day family or friends are not available or a therapist or counselor are not readily accessible.

As we count down to 9/8, let's raise awareness about the 988 Lifeline and the support available to everyone.

This year's theme, "988 Reasons: Your reason is reason enough," reminds us that there's no wrong reason to reach out. Whether you're having a difficult day, navigating a challenge, or simply need someone to talk to, 988 is here to listen.

Secondary trauma, also called secondary traumatic stress or compassion fatigue, is emotional distress that happens when you are exposed indirectly to another person's trauma. It can happen by listening to graphic stories, viewing disturbing evidence, or caring for someone with PTSD. It mimics post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) without you experiencing the event yourself.

Highlight of the day!

My children will tell you, they had to be apart of every teen program I had 🤣 I truly believe in leading by example. If I’m not going to do it then I don’t want to supposedly lead someone else to do it.

This is my youngest starting her college journey as of yesterday. She has served the Teen Life program as a participant, facilitator, photographer, social media content creator and volunteer. She has started her own business from the lessons learned, grown in her mental health care, advocacy for herself, and focus as a student athlete.

I’m grateful that I’ve had the privilege to steward their childhood and made it with sanity through the teen years of three amazing young adults. Presently, I have to figure out my life without kids 🤔 Parents Rock! 🤘 💚 🌳 💚

Highlight of the Day!

I got to attend the 1Si nonprofit roundtable at IUS Southeast Library yesterday. Great information from Gregory Nielsen. The topic of the session was focused on Board Governance - From Oversight to Foresight.

Thank you to these young adult leaders (Darin & Elisha) for joining me. We appreciate the innovation they provide to Olive Tree Resources future. 💚 🌳 💚 keep letting the tree grow……

Brandon’s House Counseling Center has partnered with Clarksville schools, making it convenient for students and families who may need extra support during the school year.

The transition back to school can bring stress, anxiety, pressure, and big emotions. No teen has to carry that alone.
