This week, we’re celebrating National Arts in Education Week and the creativity, confidence, and connection the arts bring to our schools!

From music and theater to visual arts and more, our students have countless opportunities to explore their creativity, discover new talents, and express themselves in meaningful ways.

We’re grateful for the teachers, staff, and community partners who make the arts an important part of the NAFCS experience!

25 years later, we continue to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the courage shown by first responders and ordinary Americans in the days that followed September 11, 2001.

As a school community, we honor the importance of remembering, reflecting, and teaching future generations about this pivotal moment in our nation’s history.

The New Albany High School Choir will join City of New Albany Government for its September 11 Remembrance Ceremony at 9 a.m. at Bicentennial Park, located at the corner of Spring and Pearl streets.

We are proud of our students for helping our community come together to remember and honor this important part of our nation’s history.

Across our 16 NAFC schools, teachers are dreaming up new ways to reach their students, and Great Classroom Grants are helping make those ideas real. For 21 years, the New Albany-Floyd County Education Foundation has backed that same kind of creativity, giving students and teachers across New Albany and Floyd County the resources to try new things in the classroom. Since 2005, donors like you have invested in programs that provide meals, books, mental health resources, innovative classroom grants, and so much more.

Today is the day! Give for Good Louisville runs through midnight tonight, and your gift right now keeps that legacy growing.

It's ! Ms. Holly Braden teaches K-4 Special Education at Mount Tabor Elementary School.

Ms. Braden has such a BIG heart for her students. She meets each student where they are academically, socially, and emotionally, bringing love, patience, and passion to her classroom every day. She takes the time to truly know each of her students and understand their unique strengths, skills, and needs.

As a special thank-you, the Kolton Kaiser Foundation is gifting Ms. Braden a $50 Amazon gift card to put toward her classroom or supplies. Thanks to The Slice, there’s also a $20 gift card to enjoy!

We appreciate all you do to support, encourage, and champion your students, Ms. Braden!
