NALGW electric customers. We are going to have to de-energize the circuit feeding from W. Bankhead St. out Highway 30 W. It will only be off about 10 minutes. This is going to happen around 10:50 this morning.

08/25/2026

Notice of temporary emergency outage. Our electric crews are about to de-energize the circuit that feeds from Hickory Flat to Myrtle to make a repair. It will probably drop about 930 and be off for about 15 minutes. 

08/23/2026

4:00 am update,all known outages have been restored.

10:00 pm update: we are now under 190 remaining outages. The largest pockets of outages are in Potts Camp and on/around CR 143 in on the Union/Tippah County line. We have multiple smaller outages as well. The crews will continue to work until all are restored.

8:45 pm update. We still have around 650 customers without power. We do have Crews working in all areas to restore the mainline circuits. Most of the outages are the result of trees that have fallen on the lines. We’re having to clear the trees and then make necessary repairs. We expected it could take until early morning to have everyone restored.

NALGW electric customers. As of seven tonight we have about 900 outages. They stretch from Potts Camp, Hickory Flat and Blue Mountain into New Albany and on the eastern side of New Albany. We are calling in all crews and hope to have some updates soon.

Here are a couple of pictures from the incident earlier today on Sam Tom Barkley Drive. A semi-truck came in contact with some low hanging communication lines. This resulted in multiple poles on the ground and a couple of spans of conductor to repair. We had all hands on deck and got most customers restored in an hour. The crews worked through the rain to get everything fixed. Nice to see that rainbow at the end of the repair!

NALGW electric customers. A traffic incident on Sam Barkley has caused us to lose the circuit that feeds from Moss Hill Drive out to Cotton Plant, Glenfield and West toward Myrtle.

Our crews are working on the problem now. We hope to have most of the residential load back online around 345. It may take another couple of hours to restore the entire circuit.

NALGW electric customers. We are going to have to make an emergency repair on the circuit that feeds from Ellistown to mound city. This will require us to take the circuit off-line while we make the repair. We should have it back online in an hour or less if all goes well

NALGW customers, we are aware of an electric outage, impacting the southside of Myrtle, including the old Myrtle area. We have a crew on the way to check it out.

NALGW electric customers. The circuit feeding from Hickory Flat to Myrtle sustained damage during the passing storm. We’re going to have to de-energize it at around 8:15 for about 30 or 45 minutes to make a repair. This will impact customers on the east side of Hickory Flat all the way to the east side of Myrtle (Myrtle/Poolville Road area). We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience
