Although CISD plans to keep its current debt service tax rate if the voters approve the 2022 Bond, voters should know that a new state law requires that the statement “This is a property tax increase” must appear as part of every Texas municipal bond proposition ballot, regardless of whether passage of the proposition would result in a tax rate increase.

The CISD I&S tax rate will remain the same, regardless of whether the bond passes.
