Child Advocates of Nevada County High school age and adult volunteers help the program bring the message of personal safety to children.

Child Advocates of Nevada County provides advocacy, education, support, prevention, and intervention services so that our children can grow up free from abuse and neglect. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)
Volunteers advocate for the best interests of children who are dependents of the Nevada County Juvenile Dependency Court, helping to ensure they have a chance to live in a safe and perman

ent home. Healthy Babies (HB)
Provides an intensive home visiting program that supports and educates new moms and moms-to-be in families that are stressed or overcoming challenges. Child Safety Puppeteers
Teaches young children at preschools and elementary schools through the use of age-appropriate puppet shows how to stand up for themselves and to recognize and stop physical and sexual harassment.

We are incredibly grateful Gold Country Kiwanis and Pioneer Park Pool for making swim lessons possible for our CASA children through the Chuck Coovert Memorial Swim Lesson Scholarships.

Learning to swim may seem like a normal childhood milestone, but for many youth in foster care, opportunities like this are not always within reach. These lessons provide more than just water safety skills..they build confidence, encourage healthy recreation, and create positive memories that can last a lifetime.

Thank you to Gold Country Kiwanis for your generosity and commitment to helping local children thrive, and to Pioneer Park Pool for providing a welcoming place where our youth can learn and grow.

Together, you are helping our CASA children experience opportunities that every child deserves.
