The Spokane Weather Service is predicting elevated fire concerns in the Okanogan Valley on Friday, June 12th with a 10-25% chance of thunderstorms producing small hail and gusty winds over far Northeast Washington. Please see the graphics below for areas impacted.

The Colville Business Council has made the decision to ban all fireworks sales and ignition/usage within the boundaries of the Colville Indian Reservation for the 2026 season in order to protect Tribal lands and the safety of the Membership and residents. Sales can continue in the New Year's season.

The Spokane Weather Service is forecasting above normal temperatures this week May 4th to May 10th, 2026, with Minor HeatRisks each day. Warmest days expected are Monday 05/04/2026) and Wednesday (05/06/2026).

Breezy and dry weather much of the week. Highest potential for a combination of warm, dry and windy conditions is Wednesday.
● This will bring elevated fire weather conditions.
● Gusty winds could cause minor tree damage and blowing debris Wednesday, as well as choppy water on area lakes.

Prescribed burning will occur today (05-04-2026) beginning at 10AM for 20 acres about 1 mile NNW of the Keller Ferry Landing in the Keller District.

Air quality across all Reservation Districts today is Good (green). Air quality in the Keller District may temporarily deteriorate to Moderate (yellow). Residents of the Keller District who are particularly sensitive may want to take precautions to limit their exposure today.
