Saving the best for last? Today our ‘Grade’ A Shift is standing by and ready to respond across DeSoto County. These men and women never know what the day will bring and that’s what makes this job unique—just like our Medics!

We are proud of all of the crews and happy to celebrate them during EMS Appreciation Week!

Champions! Today our C Shift crew based in Lewisburg was awarded by Baptist Memorial Hospital DeSoto with the award for “First Medical Contact to Pulsara Activation Champion!”

This is an annual contest, sponsored by the hospital, that tracks which EMS crews have the fastest patient contact to EKG transmission time during cardiac emergencies. Time is muscle when the heart is compromised which means quick responses by our EMS providers equal better patient outcomes.

Congratulations Rin, Riley, and (not pictured) Jennifer!
