This week sure feels like summer, so it's time to share our summer events! All library programs are FREE and open to the public, no library card required.

Later this week we'll be sharing more information on our Summer Library Program just for kids, ages 0-18.

The Lester Public Library of Rome will be closed Saturday, May 23-Monday, May 25 in recognition of Memorial Day.

Read Between the Pines (the library book club) will be reading Harlem Shuffle by Colson Whitehead to discuss on May 19th, 2026 @ 6:30pm. Please note, this is a change from our normal date/time due to a scheduling conflict!

This book club is open to all adults with a library card!

You still have time to sign up for tomorrow's session at Foss's Garden Center starting at 9:30! Join us and learn how to design and plant a container. Either register at the Lester Public Library of Rome or give the library a call at 715-325-8990. Today is the deadline for registration, we still have a few spots left!

Last week we celebrated Earth Day at the library. The kids got to plant seeds, make bagel bird feeders, eat dirt cups, play games, and even take a little pine tree home to plant! Thank you to all that participated in this awesome event.

Stop into the library on May 4th @ 4 pm, and join us for a fun-filled afternoon of Star Wars-themed games and crafts! This is a drop-in event for children and families. May the Force be with you!
