Negaunee Public Library The Negaunee Public Library provides informational, educational, and recreational services for the community in a pleasant atmosphere.

The Library offers:
New books and other materials in various formats;
More than 39,000 library items available, including books on CD/cassette, large print books, magazines, videos on DVD/VHS;
Interlibrary loaning;
Curbside services;
Local and regional newspapers, including: Marquette Mining Journal, Houghton Daily Mining Gazette, Green Bay Press-Gazette, and the Wall Street Journal;
the Negaunee

Iron Herald on microfilm;
Negaunee High School yearbooks;
Hundreds of e-books and digital audiobooks through Overdrive;
Computers with Internet access and word processing programs, and printing;
Wireless Internet access;
State and Federal tax forms;
Copy and fax services;
Guidance in obtaining reference and/or information materials, as time permits;
Story times for children (11 a.m. Facebook live);
Dungeons and Dragons for tweens and teens (contact library for more information);
Junior Teen Advisory Group (currently on hiatus);
Knitting group (1:30-3:30 p.m. Wednesdays);
and Summer Reading Programs for all ages.

The Negaunee Public Library is looking for an outgoing individual with a strong public service orientation to become the programming librarian. Duties include interacting with and assisting library patrons, developing and implementing new programs, assessing ongoing programs, facilitating patron-driven programs and activities, helping with the summer reading program, and assisting the library director with daily library operations. Pay begins at $15/hour, with a 20 hour/week workload. The library director would appreciate all applicants to submit a proposal for a new program, complete with a budget (which can be as simple as $0), as part of their applications.
