Public Notice!

In order to prepare for winter, City of Negaunee officials respectfully ask lot owners to remove all non-permanent objects such as artificial flowers, solar lights, shepherd hooks, and decorations from their gravesites at the Negaunee Cemetery no later than October 16th, 2026. Any artificial flowers not removed by this date will be disposed of by cemetery staff. Christmas decorations placed over the winter must be removed by April 1st, 2027.

Please use the garbage bins for TRASH PRODUCTS ONLY. Garbage bins are located down the WEST and EAST main roadway. You can also utilize our GAD bin located near the south entrance vault building.

Notice - Labor Day Parade

Please be aware of the updated parade route selected by the UPRLF event organizers for their 2026 Labor Day parade. No-parking zones will be in effect on Monday, 9/7/26, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Please have all vehicles removed from the lineup area and parade route during this time. Traffic detours will be in place from approximately 10:45 AM to 12:00 PM.

The parade will begin at 11:00 AM. Please come out and show your support!

Construction Notice!

The City of Negaunee has been awarded a grant through the Michigan State Police, Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division. This grant will fund repair efforts on Miller/Rolling Mill Road, which was damaged during the spring snowmelt in 2023. The grant award totals $250,000.
