Urgent Winter Notice - 8:00 pm
Following the hard freeze the Jefferson County WCID 10 water system is being taxed due to water line dripping and broken pipes.
To help safeguard the integrity of the system, we are urging customers to conserve water as much as possible.

Customers are asked to:
• Stop dripping faucets
• Turn the water off at the meter when the temperature drops below freezing
• Limit non-essential water use
• Notify the water district if you see leaks or need help turning off the meter

These efforts, combined with voluntary conservation by customers, aim to prevent a loss of system pressure, which could necessitate a boil water notice.
Your cooperation is appreciated in ensuring that the water system remains stable during these challenging times and collectively we can work to avoid service disruptions and maintain safe and reliable water.
Thank you for your understanding and support

Boil Water Notice Rescinded
October 7, 2024

On October 4, 2024, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Jefferson County WCID 10 PWS 1230003 public water system, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of October 7, 2024.

If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Thomas McDonald, General Manager (409) 722-6922.
