📣 NEDERLAND ISD WILL RESUME REGULAR SCHEDULES TOMORROW

Nederland ISD will resume regular school schedules tomorrow, Thursday, September 3, 2026.

We know our students, families, and staff have worked hard over the past several days to recover from the storm, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigated power outages and other challenges throughout our community.

We are excited to welcome our Bulldogs back tomorrow! 🖤💛

⚠️ Nederland ISD UPDATE at 4:35 pm on September 2, 2026 ⚠️

We are currently waiting on power restoration at Nederland High School and are continuing to monitor the situation.

The District will make an announcement at 6:00 pm today regarding the final determination for school tomorrow, Thursday, September 3.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to make the best decision for the safety of our students and staff.

🚨 NEDERLAND ISD CLOSURE UPDATE 🚨

After assessing the damage and power outages affecting Nederland ISD families, the district has made the decision to remain CLOSED tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

We are making this decision to give our families additional time to recover, address damage, and have power restored.

📚 Normal school hours will resume Thursday, September 3, 2026.

We know many in our Bulldog family are still recovering, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

Please stay safe, take care of one another, and continue to give utility and emergency crews the time and space they need to do their work.

Due to inclement weather, all Nederland ISD campuses and facilities will be closed on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Additionally, all after-school activities, athletic events, practices, meetings, and other campus activities scheduled for Tuesday are canceled.

At this time, NISD plans to resume normal operations on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Please continue to monitor the Nederland ISD website, social media outlets, email, text messages, and local news outlets for any additional updates.

These students were “Caught Being Good”! They were recognized on the announcements and got to choose a book from the Book Vending Machine donated by the United Way! We are so proud of them!
