Nederland Animal Shelter The Nederland Animal Shelter page (409-723-1541) is an extension of the Animal Control service to fa The ACO's work hours are 8AM to 4:30PM Monday-Friday.

The Nederland Animal Control Service was established by the Nederland City Council to enforce the City's Animal Control ordinances (http://library.municode.com/index.aspx?clientId=12828), as well as applicable state laws and regulations. The City employs one Animal Control Officer; the service is under the Public Works Department. To contact the ACO during working hours, contact 719-6530 or 723-15

41; after hours, call 723-1540. This page is designed as an attempt to facilitate the return to owner and/or adoption/rescue of animals that have been caught or turned over to the ACO. The return and/or adoption/rescue will be completed in accordance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

This sweet girl was hiding under a house, timid and scared, probably dumped. Since she has been at the shelter, this lovie has blossomed and is a happy, friendly, energetic dog who wants all the love!

Toffee was found wandering around Doornbos Park. Lost? maybe. Dumped? probably. She is the kindest girl, will give kisses for no reason. A dog with a sweet heart. Her time is measured at the shelter. 60 + days to live in an animal shelter is not the best arrangement for a dog. Length of stay for some dogs may create barrier anxiety or a total withdrawal. Toffee really needs someone to give her a furever home with a backyard to run & play. She needs a hero!
