Due to cooler temperatures and ongoing weather conditions, we will be delaying the opening day of the Steinhart Aquatic Center from Saturday, May 23rd to tentatively Monday, May 25th.

This decision was not made lightly. We want to open just as badly as everyone else, but unfortunately Mother Nature has had other ideas. With the colder nighttime temperatures, our heater has struggled to warm the pool water, and without warmer daytime temperatures, it hasn’t been able to make much progress.

Our goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, and we do not want guests swimming in uncomfortable water conditions.

We will continue to monitor the forecast closely and will keep everyone updated if the situation changes.

Thank you for your patience and understanding — we are looking forward to kicking off the summer season as soon as possible!

🚧 UNION PACIFIC UPDATE – 5/21/26 🚧

➡️We are doing final asphalt work this morning on:
• Industrial Drive grade crossing
• South 15th Street grade crossing

➡️Today, crews will also be working on the 7th Street and 10th Street crossings.

➡️Central Avenue will be next this evening.

✅ The 8th Street crossing was reopened last night.
