2026 Easter Egg Hunt

We had a wonderful time at our Easter Egg Hunt today! Thank you to everyone who came out to join us—it was such a fun morning for our community.
We also want to give a big thank you to Nebraska City Public Schools for allowing us to move the event to the football field this year. It was a great setup, and we hope to continue using the space in the future!
A special shoutout as well to some of our amazing summer lifeguards and tennis players who came out early this morning to help set everything up—we couldn’t have done it without you.

REMINDER!!! The annual Nebraska City Parks and Recreation Easter Egg Hunt will be this Saturday, April 4th at 1:00 pm at A NEW LOCATION… PIONEER FOOTBALL FIELD!!! This is for ages pre k through 5th grade. We look forward to seeing everyone.

We’ve noticed an increase in bikes, scooters, roller blades, and other wheeled items being used on the tennis courts, and we want to send out a quick reminder to our community.
Tennis courts are designed specifically for tennis play, and using anything with wheels on the surface can cause damage that isn’t always easy to see right away. The courts have a special coating that provides grip and consistency for players. Wheels can create scuff marks, scratches, and worn spots that affect ball bounce and make the courts less safe and less enjoyable to play on.
Over time, this kind of damage adds up and leads to costly repairs and shorter court life. We want to keep our courts in great shape for everyone who uses them.
As a reminder, bikes, scooters, roller blades, skateboards, and similar items are not allowed on the tennis courts. We appreciate your help in keeping this space safe, clean, and ready for play.
