Project WHIRL invites students ages 14-18 to join us for eight days of adventure, every Tuesday and Thursday from July through August. 🗓️ Explore kayaking, fishing, limnology, biology, and invasive species prevention! 🚣‍♀️🔬

Join our informational meeting on May 23 at 7 PM via Zoom or in person at our office on Stine Road in Redwood, New York. Have questions? Reach out! Let’s make this summer a whirlwind of environmental education and love for the lakes! 💙

Celebration of the Lakes is coming up on August 20th! We are excited to preview this silent auction item donated by an Indian River Lakes Conservancy board member valued at $320.00! This is a layered set from The Golden Cleat in Clayton, NY. Included in this beautiful bundle is a sterling, 20” paddle necklace, a beaded amber necklace, and a pair of sterling paddle earrings! Bid high and often to celebrate and preserve our beautiful Indian River Lakes.

STORY WALKS! Three Story Walk sites are scheduled - one in the village of Carthage, and two on local nature trails; Baker Woods Preserve, NY and the Joseph Blake Wildlife Sanctuary . The family-friendly Story Walks at the selected sites kickoff on July 5 with one children’s book featured along each trail. The book featured on each trail will change on July 16 and again on July 30. Story Walks will end August 13, 2022. The selected children’s titles are Big Al by Andrew Clements Yoshi, Inky the Octopus, by Erin Guendelsberger and David Leonard, and How to Hug a Pufferfish by Ellie Peterson. Enjoy a family walk!
