HERE WE GO! πŸ–€πŸ’›πŸˆ Highlands Elementary is excited to team up with the Pittsburgh Steelers to bring special educational resources and Steelers-themed materials to our students! Through this partnership, HES received a Steelers Country flag and Steelers posters and bookmarks as well as NFeLementary resources, a Steelers-themed classroom curriculum that uses football to support learning across a variety of subjects. This collaboration is another great way to connect learning, school spirit, and community partnerships while creating memorable experiences for our students. Shown with the new Steelers flag are HES Principal Sarah Kumar and Assistant Principal TJ Trozzi.

READY TO SERVE! πŸ‘«β
Our 35 Junior Safety Patrol members are officially trained and ready to serve under the guidance of Ms. Christine Izydore and Mrs. Emily DiMascio at Highlands Elementary School.

On Sept. 3, these 4th grade students participated in AAA Safety Patrol training with Officer Bobbie, preparing them for their important roles throughout the school year. These student leaders are stationed throughout the building and outside to help promote RAMS behavior, assist fellow students, and ensure everyone gets to class and the buses safely.

With big responsibilities and even bigger smiles, these young heroes are making a difference every day by setting a positive example for others. When you see our Junior Safety Patrol officers on duty wearing their bright neon belts, be sure to give them a thumbs-up or a wave!

A special thank you to Officer Bobbie for providing the training and to our outstanding 2026-2027 Junior Safety Patrol members for stepping up to serve our school community.
