With the heat index topping 110 degrees today and not relenting for the next week our neighbors living with housing instability are facing a dire situation.

If you see someone struggling, please offer them water.

To all of our neighbors who need help. Go to the Nashville Office of Homeless Services, extreme heat response site to find listings of cooling shelters and other services to ensure you get through these dangerous temperatures safe. Please be good to each other.

πŸ’œWe are so incredibly grateful today and we just have to share why.

The HCA Healthcare Foundation has awarded Park Center a $25,000 grant to support our general operating needs. This kind of investment is truly the lifeblood of everything we do, keeping our programs running, our team supported, and our members moving toward the lives they deserve.

To HCA Healthcare Foundation; THANK YOU. πŸ™ Your generosity reminds us why we do this work and fuels our mission in the most meaningful way.

But here's the truth: we can't do this alone.
Generous grants like this one, combined with support from people like YOU, are what make Park Center possible. If you've ever wondered how you can make a real difference in Nashville, this is it.

πŸ’œ Join us. Support our members. Change a life.

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’œ October 11th. Cornielia Fort AirPark. One incredible morning.
Celebration of Courage is coming soon...here's why YOU should be there!

1. A gorgeous morning, a great cause, no experience required: Walk or run through the stunning Cornelia Fort Airpark in Shelby Bottoms Greenway, then celebrate with food trucks, local vendors, and community in our Village of Hope.
2. See courage and resilience up close, don't just read about it: Hear firsthand stories from Park Center members whose courage and recovery from mental illness, substance use, and homelessness will move you long after the finish line.
3. Every step you take funds real change in Nashville: For over 40 years, Park Center has been Middle Tennessee's largest provider of housing for people with mental illness, and your registration directly fuels life-changing programs like Peer Wellness, Homeless Outreach, and many others.

This is bigger than a race, this is about being there for all our neighbors and celebrating the incredible resilience they have shown.

"Leaders define success by turning visions into reality and forging new paths rather than following existing ones."

At Park Center, we are fortunate to work alongside exactly that kind of leader every single day. πŸ’œ

Today, we are incredibly proud to congratulate our Chief Housing Officer, David Langgle-Martin, on being named a finalist for the Center for Nonprofit Excellence's Salute to Excellence: C-Suite Professional of the Year Award.

This recognition is a reflection of something our team has witnessed firsthand. David's unwavering dedication and bold vision have genuinely transformed Park Center's housing programs creating real, lasting pathways to stability and independence for the people we serve. That kind of impact doesn't happen by accident. It happens because of a leader who shows up every day with purpose, passion, and an unshakable belief that everyone deserves a place to call home.

Thank you, Center for Nonprofit Excellence of Middle Tennessee for recognizing David's extraordinary contributions to our community. This honor is so deeply deserved.

David, we are proud of you, we are grateful for you, and we are pulling for you. πŸ†

Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much." β€” Helen Keller

This week, Park Center was reminded just how true those words are. πŸ’œ
Thank you to everyone who joined our latest Community Partner Meeting and a special thank you to our friends at Centerstone and the Behavioral Care Center who operates through the Davidson County Sherriff's Office for sharing their incredible work. These gatherings exist for one purpose: connection. Connecting services. Connecting colleagues. And ultimately, connecting people to the care and support they deserve.

If you work with a local nonprofit and want to be part of this growing community, we'd love to have you at our next meeting. Reach out to [email protected]" rel="ugc" target="_blank">https://hubs.li/[email protected] to be added to our mailing list.

🎢 "I get by with a little help from my friends." β€” The Beatles
Last week, Park Center made history. πŸŽ‰

Over 60 volunteers from Oracle, a 42-year record, showed up for our members in the biggest way. They transformed our Woodland St. office with landscaping and beautification and helped clean and organize our 21st Ave. location.

But here's what moved us most:
They didn't just improve our buildings. They reminded our members that they are seen. They are valued. And they deserve every opportunity to live the life they choose. πŸ’œ
To our friends at Oracle, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. This is what community looks like.
