🚨 **LOCK IT. SECURE IT. REMOVE THE KEYS.** 🚨

The MNPD strongly encourages Nashvillians and visitors to take a few simple steps to help prevent vehicle break-ins and auto theft:

🔒 **Lock your vehicle doors.**
🔫 **Secure your valuables — especially fi****ms.**
🔑 **REMOVE YOUR KEYS!**

So far in 2026, 436 fi****ms have been stolen from vehicles in Nashville, including 17 fi****ms taken from vehicles just last week.

Of the 641 fi****ms stolen in Davidson County this year, approximately 68% were taken from automobiles.

While that number is down from this time last year — when 655 fi****ms had been stolen from vehicles— there is still work to do.

🚗 **Stolen vehicles are also routinely used in other crimes**, including carjackings and robberies.

Help us keep our community safer. Taking a few extra seconds to lock your vehicle, remove your keys, and never leave a firearm or other valuables unsecured can make a significant difference. 💙🍩💙

🚔 Field Connect in Southeast! 🚔

Southeast B officers recently attended roll call at a local business, Burlington, as part of our Field Connect Initiative!

Field Connect is designed to increase police visibility, demonstrate our commitment to the community, showcase strong partnerships, and strengthen relationships with local business owners, managers, residents, and community partners.

We appreciate Burlington for welcoming our officers and helping us build stronger connections throughout the Southeast community! 🤝💙

🚔 **Mark Your Calendars!** 🚔

A friendly reminder that Nashville's Annual Night Out Against Crime will be held on **Tuesday, October 6**, instead of August.

This change was recommended by the MNPD precinct community coordinators to help everyone enjoy the event with cooler weather and without the busy schedules that come with the back-to-school season.

We can't wait to join neighborhoods across Nashville for an evening of community, fun, and partnership! 💙

Southeast Community Day Parade is canceled!

We will still have Southeast Community Day at 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. as the rain is supposed to have cleared out by then. So there will still be backpacks!

Saturday was an absolutely amazing day! 💙🍩💙

Together, we served our community with:
🎒 800 backpacks distributed
🌭 400 hot dogs served
🏈 130 sports physicals completed
👓 110 eye exams provided
😊 Countless smiles
🤝 New friendships made

Thank you to everyone in our community who came out to spend the day with us. Your support and participation made this event truly special.

A special thank you to Academy Children's Clinic, Southern Hills, Tennessee Lions Charities, the Nashville Police and Public Safety Alliance, Tanger Outlets, and South College for helping make this event possible.

We are also incredibly grateful to all of our community partners and volunteers who dedicated their time and resources, including Astros Bounce Houses, MNPS, Chick-fil-A, Home Depot, Vanderbilt Injury Prevention, the Metro Public Health Department, SAC, NAMI, The Children's Alliance, KIPP, Intrepid, TN Voices, MAC, the Office of Family Safety, MNPD Traffic Division, PAL, In-N-Out, Walmart, the Domestic Violence Division, and everyone else who volunteered and behind the scenes.

The Southeast Precinct's goal was simple: to support our community, connect families with valuable resources, and create a one-stop shop to help students prepare for the upcoming school year. Thanks to each of you, we accomplished that goal—and so much more!

We are forever grateful for the partnerships, generosity, and community spirit that made this day such an incredible success. We can't wait to do it again!
