As we observe Juneteenth, we reflect on the importance of freedom, inclusion, and equal access for all.

One way we can build more inclusive communities is by making information accessible. Captions, sign language interpreters, alt text, Braille, and accessible formats help ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn, communicate, and participate.

Accessibility removes barriers and creates opportunities for connection, engagement, and belonging.

When information is accessible, communities are stronger.

What are some ways you make information more accessible in your daily life?

Happy National Yo-Yo Day from LSDHH!

A yo-yo works because of connection. Communication works the same way.

Accessibility helps connect people through:

1. Captions
2. American Sign Language (ASL)
3. Assistive Technology
4. Inclusive Spaces
5. And many more!

When we create accessible environments, we help everyone participate, communicate, and belong. Today, we're celebrating the many ways accessibility helps build stronger connections in our communities.
