That’s why here at Monroe Harding, we help young people up to age 26 with housing, education, workforce programs, and other resources as they navigate the transition to adulthood.

As National Foster Care Month comes to a close, we want to highlight what long-term support actually looks like.

Tristan came to Monroe Harding as a young adult seeking guidance and opportunity. Through our programs, he was able to focus on his education and career goals. He then went on to graduate from Vanderbilt, earn his master’s degree at Columbia University, and today he serves at Monroe Harding, giving back to youth walking similar paths as an employee.
 
Stories like Tristan’s are why we do this work. His journey is an example of what’s possible when we show up for youth, encourage them, and create opportunities for them to thrive.
 
But our work does not stop when National Foster Care Month ends. Youth and young adults need support every day, and we are committed to helping them.

This , we are spotlighting Tracy Stuckrath (Thrive! Meetings & Events) who helped make this amazing donation possible on behalf of TheUserGroup.org last week.

Donations are not always monetary, but they do always make a meaningful difference! These items will help our programs and the foster youth and young adults we serve.

Partners like Tracy are incredible examples of how our community continues to show up in powerful ways for young people building independence and stability. Thank you. 💙

Pure joy at graduation yesterday! 🎓💛
 
Our students spent the day surrounded by cheering loved ones, shared meals, and well‑earned celebration after all the hard work it took to reach this moment. Congratulations to our 24 HiSET, Penn Foster, and Judge Dinkins Educational Center graduates. We are so proud of your accomplishments!
 
Here’s to the Monroe Harding Class of 2026 🤩✨ This milestone is just the beginning, and we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way.

Graduation is tomorrow... but what happens after that?
 
Paulina graduated from high school last year through our program at the Resource Center, and she’s now in college studying business and marketing!🤩
 
We are so grateful to be part of her journey and are looking forward to seeing what the Monroe Harding Class of 2026 will do next.🎓

Fostering Voices is back! 🎶

We are so excited to welcome Belles, Clayton Johnson, and David Colón for a special writer’s round in partnership with The Bluebird Cafe on Tuesday, June 23!

This night will bring together powerful storytelling and live music in support of foster youth and young adults right here in Nashville. Music has a way of opening doors and creating connection, and we love seeing that power used to support our mission.

A portion of all ticket sales will benefit Monroe Harding and our programs 💙

🎓 It’s Graduation Week at Monroe Harding! 🎉As we get ready to celebrate the Class of 2026, we’re reminiscing on graduations past.

This year, 24 of our students have reached this milestone! They are graduating by earning their HiSET, completing the Penn Foster Program, or graduating from post-secondary programs through our Resource Center or traditional school settings.

We can't wait to celebrate their achievements this Thursday, May 21, and would love for you to join us. ✨

For Alex, who experienced gaps in her education while in foster care, that feeling matters. Through the HiSET program and consistent support from Ms. McKenzie at our Resource Center, she has been able to continue working toward her degree!

Monroe Gardens is back at the Woodmont Farmer’s Market this week and bringing something new to the table! 🍋🌼

Our youth created a lemon sage air freshener and lemon balm sugar scrub for this week’s sale, and we can’t wait for you to try them! And of course, we'll also have our staple plants and garden goods available.

You can shop with us every Thursday this month from 3:30–6:00 PM. All proceeds from your purchase go to support Monroe Harding programs.

SHE WON! 💙🤩 We are so thrilled to share that Dawn Warner (Blue Sky Cottage - Nashville TN) has been named a 2026 Mary Catherine Strobel Volunteer Award winner in the Adult Volunteer category.✨

The Strobel Awards honor people who give their time and hearts to this community, and Dawn does that without hesitation. The young people at Monroe Harding are so lucky to have her in their corner, and this recognition is so well earned.

A huge thank you to Hands On Nashville, United Way of Greater Nashville, and the presenting sponsor Jackson for shining a light on volunteers who are changing lives right here in Nashville.
