Big things are cooking for Keydarius, one of our program participants and housing residents! 🍽️

Last month, he boarded an airplane for the first time to travel to Washington, D.C., with our community partner, Pathways Kitchen. While there, he was honored with the Drake Pathways Outstanding Achiever Award at the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation’s Hospitality Pathways Conference.

Keydarius has been working hard toward his goal of launching his own catering company, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this milestone with him! You can catch us first in line to taste his future menu. 💙

We are incredibly proud of our Senior Life Skills Coordinator, Georgianna Ho**er, for being named a finalist for the Frontline Caregiver Award from the Center for Nonprofit Excellence of Middle Tennessee!💙

Georgianna is so selfless and pours herself completely into her work and the young people she supports. Her dedication makes a difference every day, and we are so grateful to have her on the Monroe Harding team. She is so deserving of this recognition!

And, they’re off! 🎓 Orientation is underway, and two of our housing program residents are officially in college mode, getting ready for classes at MTSU and Austin Peay. They put in a ton of work to get here, and we love getting to see them take this next step.

These are just two of the young adults in our program taking on new challenges this fall. Transitioning into college, work, and living on your own can be a lot to figure out, and our goal is to be a steady resource along the way.

Nothing like a good spring cleaning… in August. 😉

Thank you so much to Karen and Tyler from Caption by Hyatt Downtown Nashville for coming to our Independent Living facilities and helping get things organized and cleaned up! A fresh space makes all the difference, and our young adults are so appreciative of your time and help. 💙

And just like that, it’s back to school! 📚✨

We had so much fun celebrating the first day with one of our foster families. These kiddos were ready to go, and we can’t wait to see what this school year has in store! 💙

But getting ready for school is only one piece of the year ahead. Throughout the school year, foster families may need support with things like school transitions, staying connected with teachers, and helping kids reach their goals in the classroom.
