Hot weather hits differently when you're wearing a fur coat 🐶☀️

Summer is here! And while we love the warm weather, it can be dangerous for our four-legged friends. Share this with a fellow dog lover and let's keep our furry family members safe all summer long 😎

There's a side of shelter work most people never see. Court case animals make up a significant portion of our population — and right now, 11 kennels are dedicated to animals in active legal cases, which means space is tight 🐶⚖️

We couldn’t have asked for a better start to MACC Camp! ⛺️🐾

These dynamite kiddos dove into heartworm education, endangered local species, animal enrichment, and more — showing up every single day with creative minds and the biggest hearts!

We made “MACC memes,” produced our first ever dog show, and the girls even organized a greenway cleanup all on their own 🗑️✨

If June was this amazing, we cannot wait to see what fun is in store for July and August! 🐶🧡🐱

Congratulations to our longest resident, Bowie! 🎉🎉🎉

Bowie came into our care in October 2024 and found his way into a foster home not long after. Some foster stays are brief while others bridge the gap to something new. Some fosters quietly become forever... no dramatic moment, just a love that grows too big to call temporary.

We are so thankful for fosters who show up for animals when they need it most, and overjoyed for the ones who never stop. Welcome home, Bowie. Officially, finally, and forever 🏡♥️

We took our playgroup pups on a little field trip this week and it was every bit as chaotic and perfect as you would imagine! Huge thank you to the dream team who made this pool pawty possible:

May was a BIG month for us! 🌟

Our vet team set new records for spay / neuter surgeries, our rescue partners showed up big (shoutout to 👋), and so many great animals found their forever homes!

We're also seeing more animals coming through our doors, which means more incredible pets waiting for Fosters, Adopters, and Cheerleaders. There is no shortage of amazing pets and personalities looking for their people right now... can't wait to see what June brings us! 🐶♥️🐱
