UT County Technical Assistance Service CTAS provides prompt, accurate technical assistance on a daily basis to Tennessee's 95 counties and their associations.

Promoting better county government through direct assistance to county officials and their associations. CTAS was created by the Tennessee General Assembly in 1973 at the urging of county officials and their organization, the Tennessee County Services Association (TCSA). County officials wanted an agency to provide prompt, accurate technical assistance on a daily basis to Tennessee's 95 counties.

We are excited to introduce the new Planning Commissioner Academy, a six‑month blended learning program from the UT Center for Local Planning, CTAS and MTAS. This program offers practical training in planning fundamentals, legal and ethical responsibilities, and effective decision‑making for local planning commissioners and BZA members.

We are looking for a Database Consultant based in Nashville to support database systems, applications, and technology used by county governments across Tennessee.

This role focuses on building and maintaining data tools, supporting key systems, and working directly with CTAS staff and county officials to improve how information is used statewide.

If you have experience with database management, application development, and translating technical solutions for real-world use, this could be a great fit.
