Serious Patient Advocates Wanted.

On September 26 & 27, 2024 ASA will be hosting a Medical Cannabis Lobby Day and Advocacy Reboot Event, The Validated Voices Summit. This summit is the first medical cannabis event on Capitol Hill following the confirmation by HHS and DOJ that cannabis has accepted medical value. Together, we can influence the future of medical cannabis policy and ensure that patient voices are not just heard but prioritized!

Leading up to the event, ASA will be hosting a series of virtual educational seminars, trainings, and community-building events, as well actions attendees can participate in on their "Voyage to DC" including gathering patient stories and press outreach about their voyage and educational events. Thank you to our Tennessee Assembly Senate for voting for this Patient Protection. The House is now lined up to pass this legislation we strongly encouraged and helped develop.

This legislation allows Patients to discuss cannabis use and its potential interaction with other medications with Pharmacists and other health professionals without the fear of their statement being used against them by law enforcement.

This is what we could get passed in 2023. All other reform legislation was killed in committees, as designed by leadership for the last eight years.

From 2019 - This piece has a lot of good background info for our new Advocates in Safe Access Tennessee. The Prohibitionist Block problem has moved to the Senate primarily. Speaker Cameron Sexton wants to help Patients and the House is ready for reform.
Most of our State Senate is ready for medical freedom but for a small minority of Prohibitionists (read 1920's progressive). It is possible we may restore some freedom this year. Please pray for this. Sadly though - we have to plan should we get blocked behind the scenes, again.
Our legislative goal for this coming session is to promote radical transparency. In this fashion - the Prohibitionists must reveal why they believe in the Federal Lie that cannabis is dangerous and has no medical efficacy. Please pray ONLY that the Truth be exposed. The Truth shall set us Free.
