There's some behind the scenes work going on here at Forward Thinking Democracy.

For some visibility into what's changing, we'll be releasing our first article series titled "America's Parking Problem". This series will feature a number of several articles that dive deep into the United States car centric culture and how laws like parking minimums are holding back small communities.

This is a different trajectory for the organization which started as a federal campaign blog, but now we are our path set of making change and spreading awareness at a local level.

This will include a website update to mark our pivot, a change in mission, a refocus of issues, etc.

We believe that focusing from the ground up in true grassroots style is what will truly help our communities around the country flourish.

Hope to see you all join along for the new adventure.

The sway of independent voters in favor of Fetterman is a unique case point.

Fetterman ran the farthest left among the three candidates list, including pro-union and anti-corporate control policies, yet he pulled in the highest independent voter percentage.

If Florida's redistricting shows anything, it's the fact we have to invest in state-level politics as well. Yes, the Governor is the ultimate decider, but without anti-gerrymandering laws in place, the party in power controls the process.

Hey everyone! This page has grown quite a bit over the last year despite inactivity on my end (mostly due to working a full-time job and running an additional business on the side). Kentucky and Tennessee, it's a great day to move forward and leave behind the old ways of Rand Paul and Bill Lee.

Kentucky has a chance to preserve women's rights by voting "No" on Amendment 2, while Tennessee has a chance to preserve worker rights by voting "No" on amendment 1.

Let's move these states forward...not backward!

The city of Nashville gave over 400 voters the wrong ballots during Early Voting.

If you voted early in Nashville, we recommend checking whether you were one of the voters who were giving an invalid voter. If so, you can get your vote back!

The Nashville election is addressing a big mistake that led the Davidson County Election Commission to have to address 438 bad ballots.

To protect children, states and politicians have banned books, restricted LGBTQ+ discussion, restricted transgender children's health rights, restricted mask requirements in the middle of a pandemic and more.

Not a thing has been done about what truly dangers children...guns.

The time to do something is now.

With a significant other that is an elementary school teacher, for fourth grade...this hits too close to home.

Every other western country doesn't have this problem.

It's time to do more. Let's stop playing politics and protect kids.
