First Call Ambulance

First Call Ambulance First Call Ambulance is a private ambulance provider operating in Tennessee. First Call Ambulance Service is unlike many private ambulance companies.

We see our responsibilities through the eyes of our patients and customers. We know that clinical care must be based on knowledge, training and expertise and that equipment, technologies and systems must be up-to-date at all times. We see our ambulance services as an extension of your quality care, and we deliver it 24/7/365 for hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and agencies across Tennessee and Virginia.

September is National Preparedness Month, a great reminder that emergencies and disasters can happen when we least expect them. ⛈️🔥🌪️

Across Priority Ambulance and our family of companies, our teams know how important it is to have a plan before an emergency happens. A little preparation today can make a big difference when every minute matters.

Here are a few ways to help make sure you and your family are ready:

📋 Make a plan: Know where you’ll go, how you’ll communicate, and where you’ll meet if you become separated.

🎒 Build an emergency kit: Include water, nonperishable food, flashlights, batteries, first-aid supplies, necessary medications, chargers, and other essentials.

📱 Stay informed: Know how you’ll receive local weather alerts, evacuation notices, and other emergency information.

🏠 Know your risks: Learn which disasters are most likely where you live and prepare accordingly, whether that’s severe storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, flooding, wildfires, or extreme temperatures.

🐾 Don’t forget your pets: Include food, water, medications, carriers, and other pet supplies in your emergency plans.

🚗 Prepare on the go: Keep basic emergency supplies in your vehicle and try to avoid letting your fuel or battery level get too low.

Preparedness starts before the emergency. Take some time this month to make a plan, check your supplies, and talk with your family about what to do if disaster strikes.

Plan ahead. Stay informed. Be prepared. 🚑

💜 International Overdose Awareness Day

Today, we remember those whose lives have been lost to overdose, support the families and communities affected, and stand with those on the journey toward recovery.

Substance use disorder is a medical condition, not a moral failing.

Recovery is possible.

If you or someone you know is struggling, know that help is available. Reaching out can be the first step toward healing.

⚠️ Dangerous summer heat continues across many of our communities this week.

As temperatures climb, remember to take extra precautions when spending time outdoors. Stay hydrated, take frequent breaks in a cool or shaded area, limit strenuous activity during the hottest parts of the day, and check in on family members, neighbors and others who may be more vulnerable to extreme heat.

Most importantly, know the signs of heat-related illness. Heat stroke is a medical emergency. If someone becomes confused, loses consciousness or shows other signs of heat stroke, call 911 immediately.

Stay cool, stay hydrated and look out for one another this week. ☀️💧🚑

🎒 Back to School Means Safety First!

As students head back to the classroom, let us all do our part to make the school year a safe one.

Here are a few simple reminders:
🚌 Stop for school buses when their stop arm is extended.
🚸 Slow down and stay alert in school zones.
📱 Put distractions away while driving.
🚶 Watch carefully for children crossing streets, especially near bus stops and crosswalks.
🚲 Remind kids to wear helmets when riding bicycles and to look both ways before crossing.

A little extra caution can help ensure every student arrives safely to and from school.

From all of us at the Priority Ambulance family of companies, we wish students, teachers, and families a safe, healthy, and successful school year!
