Harpeth Valley is located in the Bellevue area of Nashville. Located roughly 13 miles southwest of the downtown area via Interstate 40. It is incorporated as part of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County. Harpeth Valley Elementary School was founded in 1939 and teaches grades PreK-4. It is located on the outskirts of Bellevue along State Route 100. The current school was bui

lt in 1996 and has enrollment of more than 700 students. Harpeth Valley Elementary School was the inspiration for the title of the hit country song "Harper Valley PTA".

Congratulations to Dr. Jerimy Smith who has been named the Interim Principal of Harpeth Valley for the 2026-2027 school year.

Dr. Smith has served as an Assistant Principal at HVES for four years, demonstrating intentional leadership and passion for supporting our students.

Dear HVES Families,

Tomorrow marks the conclusion of the 2025-26 academic year, with students attending a half-day of school.

PreK students will be dismissed at 11:00, while all other students will be dismissed at 11:30.

Tonight is our Spring Family Book Fair Night and Student Art Show. Visit Harpeth Valley from 3:30-7:00 PM to purchase some books and appreciate our students artwork. Students art pieces will be placed outside of their homeroom for your viewing.
