Recovery Month is here! 🙌

All September, we’re celebrating recovery while recognizing the people doing the work every day to help make it possible.

That includes our very own Ron Kinzer! As a CARE Coordinator, Ron works alongside first responders like MNPD to connect people directly with treatment and resources.

Here he is doing what he does best: getting out into the community, building connections, and helping people take that next step.

Artist Emily Frances Harper’s art is pure fun. From batik to oil painting, she creates vibrant pieces filled with color, personality, and that little spark that instantly makes you smile.

We’re so excited to have her art at STARS Rising and can’t wait for you to see it in person!

What a special day celebrating our very own Rodger Dinwiddie!!!

We’re incredibly proud of our Co-CEO for being honored at the Nashville Public Education Foundation's 22nd Public Schools Hall of Fame Luncheon for his longstanding leadership and impact in education, youth mental health, and prevention.

Rodger has dedicated so much of his career to making sure young people have the support and opportunities they need to thrive, and we’re so lucky to have his leadership at STARS.

Congratulations, Rodger! We’re so happy to have the opportunity to celebrate you!!

Our Regional Overdose Prevention Specialists were out in the community on Friday, educating people about safe medication disposal, providing medication lock boxes, and sharing resources for storing medications safely.

More than 50% of misused prescription medications are obtained from family or friends, making safe storage and disposal an important part of overdose prevention.

Want to safely dispose of unwanted medications? Find a drop-off location near you: https://starsnashville.short.gy/dispose-of-medication
