The Equity Alliance

The Equity Alliance We proactively advocate for African Americans and other communities of color to have a fair and just opportunity at realizing the American dream.

The Equity Alliance proactively advocates for African-Americans and other communities of color to have a fair and just opportunity at realizing the American dream. We are a Nashville-based 501(c)3 non-profit advocacy group that seeks to equip citizens with tools and strategies to engage in the civic process and empower them to take action on issues affecting their daily lives. WHAT WE DO

Monitor

legislation, engage in policy research, and hold our state and local elected officials accountable. Educate communities of color about the economic, social, and political issues and how impending legislation will impact their lives. Engage and Empower citizens to take action and make their voices heard. We resist, persist, join forces, call, write, petition, assemble, and most importantly, vote. Create alliances with individuals and groups in order to present a united front against any economic barriers that seek to marginalize, disenfranchise, or discriminate against people of color and vulnerable populations.

What’s up 901? The Equity Alliance is a statewide organization, so this week we took it statewide for real and brought our 615&931 team to Memphis. 🖤✨

& we came to hit the lab. 💻📋

Our team gathered to strategize, plan, and prepare for the next quarter because we believe in being proactive, not reactive. The work doesn’t happen by accident. It takes vision, collaboration, and a whole lot of intentional planning to serve our communities effectively across Tennessee.

While y’all see the events, the advocacy, and the action, these are the moments behind the scenes where we’re building what’s next.

We’re staying ready so we don’t have to get ready. 🔥

Tap in. We’ve got a lot in store for our people. Donate to TEA, volunteer, or attend an event.
