While a student at Hume Fogg High in 1938, Tom Tichenor began putting on puppet shows at the Nashville Public Library. After serving in WWII, he continued productions in Nashville. By the 1960s, he worked on the hit Broadway show Carnival!

Immediately following the mayor’s weekly media roundtable at North branch, we’ll unveil a new historical marker in honor of this beloved library location—and its service to the community for more than 100 years as one of the city’s two remaining Carnegie libraries.
