With a great amount of pride and thanks, we make this post. Our Post members, auxiliary members, and the community came together to make something special today. We mowed, drilled holes in the ground, planted flags, managed not to get to sunburnt (much), and most importantly fellowshipped with our comrades over this amazing work week. We capped it off with Mrs. Susan Warren bringing her students out and teaching them the semblance of this day, we held a ceremony that was full of passion and emotion, we heard comments from Austin Scott and Raphael Warnock’s offices. We remembered, we will always remember, and we carry the responsibility to make sure that future generations remember. Thank you to Nashville Mayor Travis Brown and City Manager Hayden Hancock for supporting us today and everyday. Thank you to the Rebel Regiment and director Alex for an amazing national anthem and taps. Thank you to the Berrien Press for your unwavering support and coverage of our post. Thank you to Adrian Rivers and Charles White for representing our elected officials. We can’t thank Berrien county and the city of Nashville enough for the overwhelming support you show Post 5978 and our Veterans!! If you missed our ceremony today, check our page and give it a watch. 10:28 AM, we, The American people watched on in horror once again as we seen, live, the North tower collapse. Heart broken, scared, and still wondering how and why this happened, we reached out to loved ones and family for comfort. Never forget this day, never forget this time, and never forget the Pride we have in America, our beautiful, free America.🇺🇸

A group of patriots who reached inward to incredible courage uttered the words “Let’s roll” and prevented a bigger tragedy. Heroes to America, loved and missed by us all.

America watched in horror as our Family and friends, our neighbors, our fellow Americans, fell with the South tower. Sadness, worry, and anger, crept into our minds.

At 9:37 our military leaders at the pentagon were working, leading our military from their offices and being busy on a Tuesday in September. Seconds after 9:37 their lives as well as ours changed forever.

At 9:03 Americans knew that the impact of the North tower was not an accident. It was terrorism, and we were all holding our breath and waiting for what would come.

As the world was waking up and getting to work a tragedy was taking place in New York City. At 8:46 terrorism touched our shores and changed lives forever.
