🌳💚 Let’s embrace the spirit of the Volunteer State and give back to Tennessee’s public lands this September!

As part of Tennessee Serves and National Public Lands Day, you are invited to lend a hand at participating Tennessee State Parks between September 18 and 27! 🏞️🙌 This combined volunteer effort brings together the National Environmental Education Foundation's (NEEF) Annual National Public Lands Day and the First Lady’s TN Serves monthly volunteer challenge to encourage Tennesseans to give their time, talents and energy to the places we all enjoy.

There are volunteer opportunities at different parks and on different dates, so you can find one that works for you! 🌱🧤 Projects may include invasive plant removal, park cleanups and more. 💚

💜 September is National Su***de Prevention Awareness Month. 💙

📱 If you or someone you know is struggling, the Tennessee 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7 by calling or texting 988. Trained crisis counselors are available to provide support, resources, and a listening ear.

This month is dedicated to raising awareness about su***de prevention, promoting mental health, reducing stigma, and reminding people that help and support are available. 💙

Throughout September, communities, organizations, schools, workplaces, and individuals come together to start conversations about mental health and su***de prevention. The month encourages us to recognize warning signs, learn how to support someone who may be struggling, and create environments where people feel comfortable reaching out for help.

🫶 Check in. Listen. Support. Speak up. Together, we can help build a community where asking for help is met with compassion and understanding.
