🌞 Sometimes, all it takes is a few encouraging words to brighten someone's day. Just like these painted rocks, small acts of kindness can be found in unexpected places when we take the time to look.

Our team wanted to create something that would bring a smile to the faces of everyone who walks through our doors. Because when it comes to spreading smiles and kindness, our MPHD Dental Team really ROCKS! 😁🌈

You might see a little extra orange today as the world marks Gun Violence Awareness Day. Orange has been designated the color of Gun Violence Awareness as it is the color hunters wear in the woods to protect themselves and others. Here at the Metro Public Health Department, we are encouraging the community to participate in preventing and addressing gun violence.

Gun locks are available at our clinical locations free of charge. Just ask one of our staff members and we'll make sure you can get one.

Our Behavioral Health and Wellness team works to make connections with the community to help ensure supports and resources are available to help reduce violent acts.

And our team is supporting the work of the Community Safety Task Force as they work toward a comprehensive Community Safety Plan. You can add your thoughts as the plan is developed by filling out this survey: https://publicinput.com/communitysafety -74417
