From April 29 – May 2, the FSPHP 2026 Education Conference & Annual Membership Meeting in Baltimore, MD, brought together leaders from across the country under this year’s theme, Navigating Change: Challenges, Solutions, and Success, to advance professionals’ programming. The conference featured a wide range of important topics from “Neuropsychological and Psychological Evaluation in Return-to-Work Recommendations” to “Best Practices in Su***de Prevention and Postvention for PHPs.” Highlights also included a powerful fireside chat with Dr. Michael Kaufmann about his recovery memoir Drugs, Lies & Docs, as well as former Executive Director Buddy Stockwell’s presentation on advocacy and the landmark Tennessee DOJ/ADA case defending professional monitoring programs nationwide. One attendee reflected after Stockwell’s DOJ session that, “It’s not a coincidence that TN was the team that got this case — thank you for being the team to carry all of our programs at FSPHP forward.” TLAP continues to learn and integrate best practices from FSPHP’s annual conference, so thank you to everyone who contributed to these meaningful conversation and presentations at this year’s conference. We look forward to attending next year’s in Oklahoma City.
