Metro Parks Visual Arts and Centennial Art Center Centennial Art Center - a visual art teaching facility & art gallery. Monday - Thursday 9:00am-5:00pm and Friday 10:00am—4:00pm.

The hub of Metro Parks’ Visual Arts, Centennial Art Center [www.nashville.gov/cac] is a Historic Building located in the 25th Ave. N. & Park Plaza corner of Nashville, TN's beautiful Centennial Park. Centennial Art Center offers popular, affordable, painting and pottery studio art classes that are taught by well-respected art teachers in this region. Classes include drawing, painting, pottery, sculpture and more. Many area artists indeed “got started” through Metro Parks’ Centennial Art Center classes and both past and current students consistently win awards in juried exhibitions. Each year, Centennial Art Center’s Gallery hosts six group exhibitions featuring works by numerous professional and emerging local and regional artists.

Important information and disclosures about In-Person Registration at Centennial Art Center (for 8-week classes only):

Step 1) At 9:00am, a line can start forming; patrons sign-in upon arrival to put their arrival status in order for first come-first served policy to prevail. Students will fill out the personal information chit to hold and give to the staff cashier (if they successfully get into desired class).

Step 2) At 10:00am, patrons will form a line in order of arrival to enter the painting studio and write/print legibly their name on the Class Roster of the class they want to register for.

Step 3) Patrons leave the painting studio through the back door to wait at the back gallery doors to pay when a terminal is available.

Step 4) Patrons will pay for the class they registered for at Terminal 1 (front desk) or Terminal 2 (Darreth’s office), based on availability. Staff will actively monitor cashier lines to ensure efficiency. Credit card payment preferred to keep line moving. No cash is held on premises; therefore, no cash payments can be accepted.

Reminder:
Register for Painting and Drawing Classes* on Wednesday, May 20.
Register for Pottery Classes* on Thursday, May 21.

*Students may only sign up for one Pottery Class per session and a maximum of two classes per session of any medium/media.
