🚨 Critical Commercial Vehicle Safety Violation Discovered 🚨

During a recent roadside inspection, a member of the Motor Carrier Plus Cookeville Unit identified a serious brake system defect on a commercial motor vehicle.

Troopers discovered that a slack adjuster was completely missing from one brake assembly, rendering that brake inoperative. Additionally, the brake on the passenger side drive axle measured approximately 3½ inches of pushrod travel, far exceeding allowable adjustment limits and significantly reducing braking effectiveness.

Brake violations such as these can dramatically increase stopping distances and create a substantial safety risk for the driver and everyone sharing the roadway.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol's Motor Carrier Enforcement Division remains committed to ensuring commercial vehicles operating on Tennessee highways meet federal safety standards and are safe to operate. He was last seen on Tuesday in the Aurelia Lynn Drive area of Clarksville.
