⚠️ Metro Water Services to Begin Water Main Project at Bransford Avenue, Melrose Avenue, and Berry Road Intersection ⚠️
Metro Water Services will begin a water main improvement project on February 16, 2026, that will affect the intersections of Bransford Avenue, Melrose Avenue, and Berry Road.
The project is expected to take approximately two months to complete. During this time, motorists should anticipate hard lane closures as well as temporary lane closures that will shift throughout the duration of construction. Most roadways in the project area will be closed to through traffic, with appropriate signage and barricades in place.
To alert drivers in advance, digital message boards will be installed at key intersections throughout the city during the week of February 9, 2026. Detour signage will also be posted to assist with alternate routes.
The City of Berry Hill does not control the scope or timeline of this Metro Water Services project. Officials understand the inconvenience this may cause and encourage residents, commuters, and visitors to plan alternate routes when traveling to or from locations affected by the construction.
These measures are in place to ensure the safety of workers and motorists and to help minimize delays and travel-related stress during the project period.
For updates, motorists are encouraged to remain alert to posted signage and traffic advisories.
