Welcome Deputy Ryan Ferrell!
The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office is proud to introduce Deputy Ryan Ferrell as our newest Animal Control Officer! 🐾🚔

Deputy Ferrell recently reached an important milestone in his law enforcement career. On August 21, 2026, he successfully graduated with his POST Certification from the Georgia Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC) in Tifton, Georgia.

With the completion of his certification, Deputy Ferrell now has full arrest powers and the authority to enforce Georgia state criminal laws, as well as applicable animal control laws and regulations.

Deputy Ferrell will now complete his Field Training Officer (FTO) program, where he will receive additional hands-on training and become familiar with the policies, procedures, and responsibilities of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Division.
Once FTO is completed, Deputy Ferrell will be ready to serve the citizens and animals of Berrien County with professionalism, dedication, and compassion.
