Today's Gold Award Spotlight shines on Maggie and her project, Shoes for Metro Students! 👟

Recognizing that many children in our community lack basic necessities, including properly fitting shoes, Maggie took action. Partnering with UniCycle, she organized multiple shoe drives with the help of family, friends, and community members, collecting hundreds of new and gently used shoes for Metro students and families in need. Determined to create a lasting impact beyond her Gold Award, Maggie partnered with Team Nashville to establish a permanent shoe collection bin. Thanks to this ongoing partnership, shoes can continue to be collected, cleaned, and distributed to those who need them most.

Today’s Gold Award Spotlight features Chibusonma and her project promoting fine arts in elementary schools! 🎻 Through an elementary school after-school program, Chibusonma’s Gold Award project introduced students to the fine arts through fun performances, games, and creative activities. By creating an encouraging space for students to explore music, movement, and self-expression, she helped students build confidence and discover new ways to express themselves creatively.

Through her work, Chibusonma also helped inspire a greater appreciation for the arts in her community and created connections that will allow similar programs and performances to continue beyond her involvement! ✨
