Today was truly a historic and unforgettable day in Davidson County! 🙏🏾🇺🇸

Congratulations to Mr. Howard Gentry on his swearing-in as the Davidson County Criminal Court Clerk. This moment represents years of dedicated service, leadership, commitment, and an unwavering belief in the people of Davidson County.

A special thank you to all of today’s distinguished speakers and guests who helped make this occasion so meaningful, including Judge John Manson, Megan Barry, and Bill Purcell. Your words, presence, and support added tremendous significance to this historic celebration.

And most of all, a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Sharon Dixon Gentry for being such an important part of this great day and for sharing in this special moment.

A very special thank you to Pastor Dr. Shane B. Scott and the entire First Baptist Capitol Hill family for opening your doors, hosting us, and creating such a beautiful space for us to gather and celebrate this historic occasion.

Today was more than a swearing-in it was a celebration of service, legacy, leadership, and the people of Davidson County.

What an incredible week at the National Urban League Conference at Music City Center in Nashville!

We were honored to partner with the National Urban League and the Urban League of Middle Tennessee to provide a Legal Clinic connecting individuals with resources and assistance related to court costs, fee waivers, expungements, driver’s license reinstatement, and other legal and justice related needs.

A special thank you to Marc Morial, President & CEO of the National Urban League, and Clifton Harris, President & CEO of the Urban League of Middle Tennessee, for continuing to create spaces where access, equity, and opportunity are more than words they become action.

We are also grateful for the leadership and partnership of Judge Rachel Bell and Judge Babb of Davidson County, whose commitment to community-centered justice continues to make a difference.

And to the many community partners, attorneys, volunteers, judges, court personnel, and organizations who helped make this clinic possible, thank you! 🙏🏾

Please note that our office will be closed December 24–26 and will resume operations on Monday, December 29.
The office will close early on December 30 (8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.) and will be open December 31 from 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
We will also be closed January 1–2, 2026 in observance of the New Year holiday.

Documents may be e-filed at ccc.nashville.gov, or submitted to the State Warrant and Bond Office, which is open 24/7, located at 440 3rd Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37201.
